Sunbeam

I’m holding in my hand something unique

Here I have the day’s first sunbeam

I’m going to keep it with me

I’m going to keep it for you

It seems so fragile, even more than a petal

It seems so pure, even more than a kiss

It feels so warm, even more than the ocean

It feels so delicate, even more than our life

I have this dim light trapped in my hand

I don’t know if it will endure until I find you

If it goes off you will have to trust these words

Especially to the other three that I’d said before

I’m holding in my hand the last sunbeam I saw

So gentle, so kind, like the look in your eyes

I’ll leave it here in case you need it someday

My beloved, please try to find joy on these words

The first sunbeam can be like a single tear cry

Crystal pure

With a touch o fire

And the strength of hope.
